Alexander Kent
all at sea
Have you seen our weblog or
our monthly book review?
Kent is the author of a series of sea stories about a Royal Navy
officer named Richard Bolitho. If you enjoy tales of the days of
fighting sail, you'll enjoy them; but try
C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower and
Patrick O'Brian's Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin first.
There's much here to enjoy, but nothing to pine for.
