Brian Daleypenny dreadfuls Have you seen our weblog or our monthly book review? Ten or so years ago, the late Brian Daley wrote three somewhat tongue-in-cheek space operas about Hobart Floyt, an Earth Service Functionary Third Class, and Alacrity FitzHugh, an extra-terrestrial who's blackmailed into guarding him. The first two, Requiem for a Ruler of Worlds and Jinx on a Terran Inheritance are very good; we read them aloud with great success. The third, Fall of the White Ship Avatar is not as good, though worth reading after the first two. Recently, friends of Daley's created a website dedicated to the man and his work. Reviews
