Jack Vancean unreal farce Have you seen our weblog or our monthly book review? Jack Vance has a way about him; whether he's writing fantasy or science fiction, his prose always has an air of unreality about it, as though he's about to slip over the line from straight story-telling to farce; and sometimes, as with his tales of Cugel the Clever, he does. I have to be in the right mood to read Vance, but when I am he can be very entertaining. Here are a few of his books; The Eyes of the Overworld is probably my favorite.
